We have all officially made it through the first year! It was a whirl wind but it was awesome. As Kris likes to say - the first six months went really slow and the second six months were very fast! Seems like yesterday he looked like this:
The birthday boy woke up to a room full of balloons this morning! He stayed home to play with Mama until noon and we figured we'd get dressed up for Day Care today. Drew looked especially dapper in his full white tux with tails - totally appropriate for fake vacuuming and playing with blocks all afternoon.
We did our final month-day photos this morning too. Can't believe how much he has changed this year - it is amazing to look at the photos month by month to see the changes. There is a huge difference between Month 1 and Month 12.
Looking forward to a exciting year number 2 with our smiley guy.

Drew's Baptism
Coming in just under the wire of the 1-year mark, our big guy was baptized on Sunday. Oma and Opa came down to stand-in for Uncle Kevin and Aunt Laura, his sponsors. I think Oma and Opa had a great time watching all of Drew's new tricks and really enjoyed seeing our church. They are looking forward to coming back for the puppet show this fall.
Here are some photos of the big day. Drew had the holy spirit coursing through him, so he was a little squirmy!

Drew had especially crazy hair this weekend, channeling his inner Kevin Bacon from the end of Footloose ready to pick Ariel up for the prom.

Oma and Opa spoiled Drew with some birthday fun before their big trip to Germany. Drew donned his less formal tux for the occasion.

Hard to believe we have almost made it through Drew's full first year. He has rocked our world - in the best way possible. We can't imagine life without him!
